VT – Visual Inspection

Adding VT Report

  • To add a VT Test you must have at least one welded joint.
  • You can display “Add VT” main window via “Work Flow” link within the upper bar in Home Page or via “Add VT” link within Quick Links.

 

  • Log in to the system.
  • From the Upper bar in Home Page, Click on “Inspection Report” Link 1within Quick Links. Window “Inspection Report” is displayed.
  • Selecting VT report from” Report Type” drop list.
  • Or, From the Upper bar in Home Page, Click on “Workflow” Link  2which will open a form containing a summarized Workflow of the system.3
  • Click on the “VT” button.
  • You will be redirected to “VT Report” window which contains a textbox to display all/any VT Report within the system along with “add”, “Delete”, “Print”, “Add Joint” and “Return” buttons.
  • Click the “Add” button 9.
  •  You will be redirected to the “Add VT” window where a VT Report number is suggested for you and all welded joints are displayed within a grid to allow you to select joints to be added to the new VT Report.
  • There is also a filter control to help you filter/search joints displayed within the grid.7
  • Enter all the data related to the new VT and then select joints to add to the new VT Report.
  • Clicking “Save” button, You are redirected to “VT Report” main window
  • Within “VT Report” main window where you will find the newly created VT report is selected with all its related Data related displayed within “Choose VT Report” panel and with all its related attachments displayed in “Related Documents” panel.
  • You have the ability to add or modify within newly created VT report’s Remarks.
  • Also, you can modify within its related documents.4
  • Clicking “View Details” 2icon, a window is opened where selected Joint’s detailed data is displayed along with joint’s welders and a grid view filled with operation made on the joint.
  • “Modify Status (Close/NDE)”5 icon is enabled only if the joint’s status is closed or NDE.
  • Clicking on “Modify Status (Close/NDE)”5 icon, Joint’s status is modified from Closed to NDE and vice versa.
  • Clicking “Accept Selected” button 6, there are 2 options:
  • 1-      That the Joint was rejected before within a RT Report. In this case, the system checks for the Welder’s Penalty.
  • If Welder’s Penalty was entered when the Joint was rejected, a “NDE – Selection” panel will be displayed to enable you to accept Joint.
  • If Welder’s Penalty was not entered when the Joint was rejected, the Joint is not accepted and its status is “Hold”. Until Welder’s Penalty is entered within the RT Report in Which the Joint was originally rejected.

1-      That the Joint was not rejected before within any other RT Report

  • In this case, a “NDE – Selection” panel will be displayed to enable you to accept Joint.8
  • Clicking the button “Save” within the above mentioned panel, Joint entered “NDE” with checked NDE Report selected.
  • Clicking the button “Accept” within the above mentioned panel, Joint entered “NDE with no NDE Report selected.
  • Clicking the button “Cancel” within the above mentioned panel, Joint the action will be cancelled and joint’s status still “VT”.
