Adding New Welder

  • Welders work under Contractors;  so first you should identify a Contractor for this Welder then you can add the welders details, such as: “Name”, “Thick From”, “Thick To”, “DIA From” and “DIA To” mandatory, and “Position”, “Address”, “Phone”, “Hire Date” and “Email” optional.
  • After Logging on to the system, click on the “Welders” Link 3Figure 1
  •  from the Quick Links Menu.
  • A “Welders” window will be opened where all the Welders within the system will be displayed with a filter control to help you search for a certain Welder and “Add” button.
  • Welders’ grid view is displayed within multi tab control including 3 tabs: “All”, “Active” and “Non-Active”.
  • Tab “All” which is the active tab by default displays all Welders within the system.
  • Tab “active” displays only active welders.

  • For each welder  displayed within the above mentioned grid view there are icons: “View Welder Profile”7, ”WPS”1, Freeze/ Unfreeze2, “Production Joint” 6, “View Details” 2, “Delete”4 and “Edit”3
  • Clicking “View Welder Profile” icon7, you will be redirected to a window displaying a report with selected Welder details, the WPS he is qualified for and the Joints he worked on displayed for you, and a “Return” button.
  • Clicking “Production Joint”6 icon, you will be redirected to a window that displays welder’s Production joint detailed report. Joint’s report include basic data such as; “Joint NO”, “Drawing No”, “Sheet”, “Thickness”, “Length,…etc.
  • Also displayed all welders related to joint and joint’s detailed history.
  • Clicking ”WPS”1  icon, you will be redirected to a window with Welder summary details and the WPS he is qualified for are displayed with an “Add” button  to add a new WPS to the Welder’s Qualified WPS, and a “Return” button to return you to the  Welders Main Screen.
  • Clicking “Delete”6 icon will delete all the Welder Information from the system.
  • If this Welder works on any Joint, this Welder will not be deleted and a message “This record cannot be delete because it has related data” will be displayed.
  • If this Welder works on any Joint, this Welder will not be deleted and a message “This record cannot be delete because it has related data” will be displayed.8
  • Click “Add” button9 .
  • The “Add” button will redirect you to the window where you should enter New Welder’s details.
