Adding and Modifying Joints

  • Joints are Part of Lines/Tanks; so first you should identify a Line and hence Area for this Line. Joint should be added to the correct line and should be numbered uniquely per each Sheet.
  • You can add the Joint to the sheet directly without selecting a spool, or selecting a spool within the sheet to add the Joint to it.
  • After Logging on to the system, click on the “Joints”1 Link from the Quick Links Menu or click on “Joint” 2  link from “work flow”3 on the header of welder manager.
  • A joint window will be opened where you choose line and sheet No to which the joint will be added.4
  • Auto Complete” functionality is added to help you enter the Line/Tank  No.
  • You can select a spool to add the Joint to it or add the joint directly to a sheet.
  • Choose a certain Spool within this Sheet. The grid view will display only the Joints within this selected Spool and a button “Add”.
  • When you select a certain Line/Tank and Sheet, A grid view with all Joints within selected Line/Tank /Sheet will be displayed along with “Add” button.
  • There is also a search box above joints grid view that helps you search for a certain Joint within selected Line/Tank /Sheet using a keyword which may be found in any of the joints properties displayed in the grid view…5
  • Enter keyword which you want to search with in the “Search within the grid” text box.
  • With each letter you enter, the displayed Joints grid view will be filtered by the appearance of the keyword in any of the joints properties.
  • By removing keyword from search text box the Joints grid view is refreshed.
  • The Joints grid view is displayed within a multi tab control including tabs that displayed data related to selected joint such as; VT/RT/MT/UT/PT/HT/FN/PWHT/PWII Reports, Welders and Joint Extension.6
  • In order to display any data within these tabs, you have to first select a joint using icon 1within Joints grid view.
  • For each Joint displayed within the above mentioned Joints grid view there are icons: “View Joints Details”1 , “View Details” 2, “Delete” 4 and “Edit”3
  • Clicking “View Details”2 icon will display a report with the Joint’s detailed information such as Line/Tank , Sheet NO, Spool, DIAM, Thickness, Length, and Drawing No …etc.
  • Also displayed within the report all Joint’s welders and all the operations done on it.
  • Clicking icon “Delete”4  will delete the entire Joint and its related Information from the system.
  • Clicking icon “View Joints Details” 1, Joint is selected, tab “VT Report” is activated and selected Joint’s VT Reports are displayed within a grid view.1
  • VT Report number is displayed as a link.
  • Clicking VT Report, a panel is opened containing the report detailed data where you can manage the report and the Joints within it.2
  • Same is done within RT/MT/UT/PT/Other report Reports Tabs.
  • After clicking on “View Joints Details1” icon, it is changed to5  in order to distinguish the selected Joint.
  • Clicking tab “Joint Extension”, will display Penalties related to the selected Joint as followed
  • Click on “Joint Extension” tab, a grid view with all the selected joint`s penalties will be displayed.3
  • You can click on “RT Report” number to view this report details in a window under this grid view.4
  • You will also find a link “View joint penalty” which by clicking on it will display a diagram of the selected joint penalties hierarchy.5
